Nutrition: The Hack to a Healthy Lifestyle

“Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you who you are.”

 Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin

Our body is our greatest asset, for as long as we roam this blue planet, we need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Who we become on the outside is a reflection of what we consume both mentally and physically. If you control what you eat and how you eat it, you gain control over who you become. Health boils down to nutrition, especially when it comes to elderly adults. The older we get the longer it takes our bodies to digest food, therefore it is critical we watch what types of food we ingest. Elderly adults that have a nutrition plan and maintain an active lifestyle, can absolutely give the younger generations a run for their money.

We take a look at a few shining examples of the elderly that have proven that age is just a number.

Elderly adults are susceptible to various illnesses and henceforth their nutrition is key to promoting a healthy lifestyle. Our organs age as we do, the bones get weaker with time, vision deteriorates, loss of hearing, and even muscle loss. The elderly need to fight off these deficiencies with a balanced diet.
