Measures for good hygiene

Fun fact: The ancient Romans invented communal restrooms and improved sanitation, they understood that proper sanitation translated to good health.

We’ve been washing our hands for a long time; what happened to soap and water?

Good hygiene and proper sanitation are advised at all times; however, it is important to emphasize this during an epidemic such as the COVID-19 (Corona Virus). Over the last few months the virus has spread exponentially and we are going to explore ways to take measure against contracting it.

Wash your hands

Scrub your hands and make sure you use soap and water! And wash them frequently.

Avoid touching your mouth, nose and eyes.

The virus can be picked up on surfaces and easily spread through contact to your eyes, nose or mouth.

Have a fever or persistent cough?

Please seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Disinfect your phones

We all have them and carry them around as if we can’t do without them. If you stop and think about it, your cellphone is as dirty as the bottom of your shoes. We are constantly using them and placing them in public surfaces, this increases the risk of picking up germs and the virus and inadvertently contracting and worse spreading it.

When working with clients in Home Care, it is important to maintain proper hygiene so ask not to put our elderly clients or yourself at risk. Ensure you make use of hand sanitizer on top of washing your hands and use gloves whenever necessary.
